RULES
There are two rules that apply at all times throughout all forums:

No illegal content.

No hate speech, meaning speech that degrades, intimidates or incites violence or prejudicial action against a group of people based on their race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, or disability (e.g. homophobia or racism).
Any posts in violation of one or both of these rules will be deleted without exception.

ALL FORUMS

Do not spam. A spam post is defined as: a) one that is of little to no value to the discussion at hand; b) very short and/or contentless; c) one made with the sole agenda of advertising a product, service etc. Legitimate advertisements are allowed in the Advertisements and member announcements forum, but only one advertisement is permitted per each product, service etc. being advertised, and any overtly commercial posts without direct relevance to CLMF's subject matter made in that forum will be deleted.
When you make posts, you are asked to use good quality written English in order to aid communication. Try not to use abbreviations such as "ur" in place of "your" or "u" in place of "you". Also try to include apostrophes where necessary (e.g. "I'm", not "im"). Excessive usage of acronyms such as "lol", "lmao" and "rofl" is also frowned upon. Try to ensure your overall spelling and grammar is good (if English is not your first language then this is of less importance).
Any user who feels that a posted message is offensive or objectionable is encouraged to use the Report button to the right of the post, or contact a moderator.
Any user who feels that a private message is offensive or objectionable is encouraged to use the Report button to the right of the message, and it will be sent to an administrator

UPLOAD FORUMS

Reviews:
In order to help composers get the most out of feedback posted on their work, members are encouraged to be descriptive, constructive and helpful when writing reviews. Use of numerical rating systems (e.g. "6/10") is discouraged except in specifically competitive situations, such as competitions.

Submissions:
Post complete works only. Incomplete works are to be posted in the Composer Headquarters forum.
If you are submitting multiple pieces of the same type, or multiple movements from the same work, you are strongly advised to include all of these within one thread, as opposed to creating a new thread for each piece, section or movement. Adhering to this guideline will help prevent the upload forums from becoming congested, and will increase the chances of everyone receiving at least some commentary on their work.
3rd Party websites for now...Announcement will be sent when uploads will be available

General Conduct

You are expected to behave politely towards your fellow members and to refrain from posting content which is deliberately intended or likely to offend. While such content will not necessarily be removed, we reserve the right to do so in all cases. Repeat incidents of inflammatory or inappropriate behavior on your part will result in you receiving warnings or having account privileges removed. Sustained behavior of this nature may result in a permanent ban.

Infractions / Disciplinary Procedure

If a member stands in violation of a rule, they will be dealt an infraction (a disciplinary measure that is recorded on the user profile). Each infraction consists of one or more infraction points, which may be set to expire after a period of time. The number of points associated with each individual infraction correlates to the severity of the offence, as does the expiration date (or lack thereof).
If a member is dealt three separate infractions, their account will be suspended for a minimum of 7 days. If they are dealt three further infractions after that, they will be permanently banned, and may not return under the account that was banned nor any accounts subsequently created by them, unless express permission to do so has been granted by an administrator or moderator. Any banned or suspended members caught using another account, whether a shared one or a newly-created one, will have both that account and their original one permanently banned.
If a member is carrying five or more infraction points at any one time, their posts will be subject to prior approval by a moderator before rendered visible to the public.
Please note that infraction points may expire after a certain period of time, but the infractions themselves do not.

Copyrighted Material

You may not attach copyrighted material to a post or provide any external links facilitating the unlawful distribution of copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or this message board. For example, you may not link to an MP3 rendition of commercially-released music.

Multiple/Shared Accounts

Registering multiple accounts or account sharing is prohibited. Multiple accounts will be banned if discovered, with the owners of shared accounts dealt with according to the staff's discretion. If you want to change your username, PM an administrator, do not register another account. If you have forgotten your password, you can use the password recovery form.
Please note: all new accounts registered that share the same IP address(es) as an existing account will be deemed "multiple", regardless of whether it is claimed that there are two different people commanding the accounts. It is impossible for the staff to distinguish between two different people commanding separate accounts from the same computer, and one person commanding two accounts from the same computer. However, under extenuating circumstances, for example the presence of evidence to the contrary, exceptions may be made.

Miscellaneous
Composer Land Music Forum reserves the right to alter any of these rules at any time without giving prior notification to its users. By maintaining an account, you agree to abide by these rules in their entirety.
